
I’m really wanting to try HDR for time-lapses after seeing this video on Vincent Laforet’s blog. It requires an interval timer for your DSLR and a nice slider rig. As they say, you can find anything online. Information blogs like www.learningdslrvideo.com and his recent post here have greatly helped me learn various tools to achieving professional results on a budget. As you’ll see in the videos below, HDR time-laps takes a considerable amount of time and resources to create. Five (5) to eight(8) shots are needed (at different exposures) to create just one HDR image. On top of that, there are two popular plugins on the market for adding effects to your HDR image ( Nik HDR EFEX Pro and Photomatix by HDRsoft). So, yes.. wanting to try it… will I – is the question…
